    Consolation including emotions are good and help.
    Actually the memory of those things help when going through the neutral times and difficult times. Consistency, keeping reconciled with God, sometimes while not just going through the motions, sometimes it almost seems that way; just keep communing with God through Jesus Christ.
    It may sound like platitudes, but doing this day to day; really working on the interior life; and helping others through thick and thin helps God given peace and joy within.

  2. Amen, your discussion of faith is right on.
    And defining terms so many times doesn’t even get the chance sometimes. Thank God for learning from those who know how to present rational discussion points, which includes defining terms. I learned from them to get out of emotionally charged discussion where someone wants to use polemics, straw men, and over emotionalism. When someone is not willing to be objective, even to disagree but wants to argue in an endless fruitless debate; just bow out as gracefully as possible.
